Mista Books & Teck-Zilla Release Visuals for “Try Angles”

The duo of Mista Books & Teck-Zilla deliver a slick new video for “Try Angles,” the wordplay-filled and soulful burner off their recently released collab project, The Harder The Better.

There’s so much to immediately love about this track and its visuals, but it all starts with the music. With Teck’s incredibly fresh and head-nodding instrumental as his canvas, Books talks his sh*t with clever bravado that extends from the verses all the way through the hook, which goes, “That’s why I try angles/ So many squares in my circle/ Always stay patient ‘cause that’s a virtue/ See beyond the earth, that’s universal/ They want me goin’ back, back on reversal.”

That sentiment is the driving force behind the video, which is directed by frequent collaborator Psalmurai. His vision pays homage to classic hip-hop visuals (peep the EPMD Easter egg), but there’s a distinctly modern and organic feel, too. It matches the energy of “Try Angles,” and also includes guest appearances from afro soul singer Maka and rising producer Ben Hilly.
