Premiere: Bodega Bamz Shows Why He’s “The King” In New Video

Spanish Harlem’s favorite son Bodega Bamz has been steadily picking up the pace with his release schedule. At the end of last summer he gave listeners the Trap-heavy, A$AP Yams tribute album “Yams Heard This.” Then, before the close of 2020 he released a strong offering titled “La Chasse EP,” which included an epic all-Latino posse cut featuring Eto, Flee Lord, Joell Ortiz, JR Writer, and Axel Leon. And just last Friday he graced fans with the nostalgia-inducing full-length “El Camino.”

The album is filled with familiar samples flipped in new ways topped with Bamz trademark Spanglish bars. The singles “The King” and “Big Shot” set the tone for the LP and communicated his mindset in 2021.

Today, the Tan Boys general is hitting fans with the visuals for “The King.” The vid finds him flexing his lyrical prowess all around NYC in and on top of luxury trucks. I’d be remiss to not mention the cameo by an ultra thick mami, as well as appearances by his Tan Boys crew, which includes renowned polaroid photographer 1000Words.
