Producer’s Hot Seat with the Legendary Buckwild of D.I.T.C. (Interview)

With some exceptions, few golden era producers have endured (with the same energy) as Bronx native and D.I.T.C. member Buckwild has done over the past 25+ years. Coming up under Lord Finesse — and boasting a hefty discography that includes classic cuts on debut projects by legends like O.C., Big L, AZ and Big Pun — he became a staple of the era, working with icons like JAY-Z, Notorious B.I.G. (among others).

In recent years, Hip Hop has seemingly gone full circle, with a new crop of underground MCs finding independent success in the underground wave that’s followed Griselda’s storied rise. In this bubble, Buck has thrived with a new passion — and is busier than ever. Following a slew of beat tapes and collaborative efforts with the likes of Pounds and Flee Lord, he is now celebrating the release of his latest compilation LP, Music Is My Religion.
