Blak Madeen Release Hard Hitting “Dangerous Artform” Video

Blak Madeen (Al-J & Yusuf Abdul Mateen) re-establish themselves as one of New England’s most deep rooted Hip Hop groups by dropping their latest video, “Dangerous Artform”. The song title also serves as the name of their latest LP released on Chuck D’s SpitSlam Record Label Group. The visuals are directed by Sando Films and pays homage the late boxing legend Matthew Saad Muhammad. “We see Hip Hop as a dangerous artform, just like boxing,” says Yusuf.

The song and album is entirely produced by Public Enemy’s beat architect C-Doc, who provides the melancholy head nod sound. DJ Slipwax adds his first rate cuts to the chorus and outro that makes you remember what “Hip Hop Was About”. The track closes with a quote from Grand Daddy I.U. stating “if it dont have that Boom Bap then it cannot be Hip Hop” Do you agree? Check it out below.
