Premiere: DNTE Drops Visuals for “Danguard Ace/SNKRBOX”

Toronto’s smooth lyrical hustler DNTE (also known as one-half of the duo of Falconcrest) just dropped a two-fer video that we are premiering this morning. “Danguard Ace” named for a 70’s anime hero, bangs as hard as it’s mecha-warrior inspiration.   With a dusty drum break, hard guitar stabs, thick Moog bass and vocal samples, this that street-spit from a grown man, who has sophisticated tastes.

At the end is a shift to a snipped of another joint “SNKRBOX” features DNTE’s protégé, Wyze Wonda with the two dropping hard bars back to back with their distinct West Indian flavored drawls.

Both “Danguard Ace” and “SNKRBOX” are leaks from the forthcoming DNTE project Grandizer, which is entirely self-produced.   Another joint from the project “Chapstick” was leaked a few months back as well.

Speaking on the project he said:

“I was working on my previous album Crystal Pianos last year and was going through some personal issues.  I started working on beats and came out with “MK Ultra” which was the first single of that album.  It was such a cathartic experience, I just kept on working on beats and within six months I had Grandizer done.”

Grandizer will drop in May and later this year Wyze Wonda will drop his own full-length which DNTE will appear on.
