Twan Mack Is Feeling “Marvelous” as He Pays Homage to the Venerable Bob James

Milwaukee-based emcee/producer and visionary, Twan Mack graces our pages once again. This time, Mack takes on the persona of ‘RapMan’ on his visuals for “Marvelous” which provides a dose of superhero-themed adult contemporary hip-hop, all while paying homage to the revered Bob James.

Shot by B’Yond Entertainment, “Marvelous” finds ‘RapMan’ confusing heroics for rather irritating antics as he manages to crawl deep under the skin of his cronies.

However, the true heroics on this Twan Mack and Ben Block produced banger is committed to the hook, as Mack chants:

“…the immortal Bob James wrote Nautilus, you ask a brother ‘how do I feel?,’ I feel Marvelous.”

Mack’s reverence for James is not only apparent in the lyrics, but also towards the end of the track where he performs a short beatbox rendition of “Nautilus.” And when Mack’s ‘RapMan’ alter ego isn’t harassing his friends in tights, you’ll find ’em sporting a Bob James t-shirt throughout various scenes.

“He’s been instrumental in the landscape of Hip Hop production since the 80’s.”

And to make the cypher complete, Twan manages to get the co-sign from the legend himself, who gives ’em some encouraging words of advice by telling him to “keep going strong.” It’s fair to say that the rap gods are in Twan’s corner…just don’t break up their dice game. “Marvelous” is available now through all major digital retailers and streaming platforms through Mack’s Kareem City Music imprint.
