Premiere: Saga Gives Us His Wishlist In New Video for “I Want”

Just a month after the release of his Hagler EP, Brooklyn emcee/ producer returns with new video and announcement of a new release. “I Want” is the first leak from his Agassi album (to drop on February 9th), which like the Hagler EP is entirely self-produced.

Over a hazy chopped and re-assembled soul loop, his nimbly delivers a litany of wishes including more time to spend with family instead of chasing funds, more natural cures for cancer to be explored and legitimized and strive to achieve greatness over celebrity.  Speaking on his message, Saga relayed “when we hear the words I want it’s usually associated with negative our personal desires and self-interest.  However sometimes our desires are for others to see the world has more options than what we’ve been sold our entire lives.  This song is about people putting faith in themselves.”

Prior to his self-imposed hiatus over the past two years focusing on his first child and teaching himself production, Saga released full-length projects with such notable producers as Marco Polo (Masta Ace, Torae) and Thelonious Martin (Curren$y, Pro Era)

He has also appeared on tracks with Freddie Gibbs, Roc Marciano and Blu and toured Europe and Asia with the likes of Fashawn, Exile and Asher Roth.
