Thirstin Howl Introduces Us to “Don Chicharron”

Returning just a few months after dropping his joint project with Sadat X, The God & The General, Thirstin Howl The 3rd has surprise dropped a new project this week.  Long-known as The Polo-Rican he returns as Don Chicharron in full spanglish mode rocking over classic salsa, Hip-Hop and hardcore Latin soul breaks.

Mixed by DJ legend PF Cuttin,’ this project is twenty-five tracks deep including brand new tracks and previously released underground tracks.

It also features appearances from some veteran Latino emcees including Hurricane G (Def Squad), Power Rule and TMP The Microphone Prince (whose work goes back to rocking with Marley Marl and Devastating Tito of The Fearless Four as far back as the 80’s).

In addition to the digital album (which can be purchased on Thirstin Howl’s website), he has made a short film around the project which includes musical performances and a plot which according to him is “TMP and me play cousins who become club owners and everyone is upset at me because I named the club after my Grandma’s legendary spot that got torn down recently. Hurricane G, DJ Exes and the Lo-Life Miami family also appear.”

Below is the first part of the film which was also released today and which features the project’s title track as well as “Gunner And A Gardner” and “Friendly But Deadly.”
