Save Your Appetite for B.A. Badd’s ‘Everybody Eats (1st Plate)’ Album

Everybody Eats! It’s a slogan that Syracuse, NY emcee, B.A. Badd takes very seriously.  In addition to being the title of his forthcoming project (subtitled 1st Plate) it’s the philosophy he lives by.  As he says “it’s a school of thought I’ve been taught my whole life through upbringing and environment.  It means I am my brothers / sisters keeper, I’m not doing well unless the people around me are doing well.”

The album (which drops digitally on November 27th) is a reflection of that mind-set, life-lessons, hard hustles and street philosophy narrated with penitentiary hardened bars. This extends to the choice of producers which include Vinyl Villain (Ankhlejohn, Nolan The Ninja), Chup The Producer (Rigz, Benny The Butcher), Graphwize (Eto, Blaq Poet) and Reallyhim.

Speaking on the release Badd commented “I feel like this project has more energy and is way harder than my previous releases.  I just wanted to spit and drop bars.  I also normally don’t have features but I thought on this release I would bring more people to the table for that extra spice.”

An example of that spice is in first single/video “Codes” recently leaked which features Brooklyn spitter Rome Streetz and produced by Graphwize (link below).

Other guest on the album include Conway The Machine, RIM (Da Villains), Adonis, AA Rashid, Mafiosa (Maf) and Prxfet.  Speaking on tapping GXFR Records / hometown hero, for the project, Badd said “I’ve dealt with Conway previously, just being aware of his talent early on, so when the time was right we ate together.”

However an especially poignant track for the emcee has no features on it as well.  “the track that means the most to me on this project might be the closing track ‘Round Table Convo.’  I dug in more personally on that track that I intended, talking about my release from prison, building my career back up and the loss of my friend F150.”

As the 1st Plate in the project title implies this is the first course in what is intended to be a series of releases.  B.A. Badd is currently working on three projects to be released shortly which will include Dirty Revolver, which is a collabo project with Maf and entirely produced by Graphwize, Trump Era, which will be entirely produced by Reallyhim and a follow-up to my A.R.T. Work project entitled Lost A.R.T.
