Heist life’s own Ty Da Dale recently released Shower Posse visuals from his album School by The Apollo. The album has flawless production with a rugged but eloquent bar game being put on the forefront. Gotta love a body of work that’s delivering edge and powerful messages as well. The jewels being dropped by Popa Wu in the skits are priceless in itself. Love when a project music is in sync with the overall art and theme. So many layers to this dynamic body of work. There are formidable features from Baby Maine, Sauce Heist, Rome Streetz with insane production from Wavy Da Ghawd, Bass Reeves, Lou Montoni, Spanish Ran, V Don, Kvmi, and 183rd. My fav joints are Summer o8, Shower Posse and Save Me.
The album is though provoking tugs at ya heart strings if you can relate to struggle and adversity. Coming into the knowledge definitely changed my life . This is hands down a top album for the year for me. The art depicting the 5% Nation of Gods and Earths founding fathers and the Apollo is spot on and definitely reflects the message in the album. I had the pleasure of chopping it up with Ty Da Dale. I asked him his motivation behind this innovative project.
His response :
The inspiration is from the 5 percent movement I just wanted to drop knowledge in a cool way where the streets could understand it and vibe with it and also put light on the 5 percent nation and what we building at the school
Prepare to be enlightened! Listen to School By the Apollo.
