Mixtapes have been around for the longest. J.H. Tellher’s Global Warz has elevated the mixtape game over the past twenty years. Now it’s gone digital. Keeping up with tech savvy hip hop enthusiasts, Global Warz has been releasing some stellar hip hop music from untapped underground artists. This digital platform is a great way for indie artists to get exposure.
The recent mixtape Culture Vulture Plague touches on the hip hop predators that use the culture for selfish reasons. I’m honored to be a part of the monologue speaking on the culture vulture and their antics. The goal is to always push the best music despite popularity and to showcase artists that truly rep the culture heavy. The mixtape is definitely geared towards the advancement of the culture and features lots of exclusive music. The project features Tone Liv, XP the Marxman, Mado, Ozi One, Lu Chin Chen and a slew of other underground talent. Be sure to rock out. Effective February 2020 the Global Warz mixtapes will cease and the vaults will be closed.
