Take Heed To The Message, Jeru The Damaja’s “Harriet Tubman” Video

Jeru The Damaja releases visuals for new esoteric, hard hitting “Harriet Tubman” single. The acclaimed emcee declared, “this video is my effort to preserve the culture of Hip Hop.” 

Jeru, undeniably one of Hip Hop’s most celebrated and intricate emcees, hits home heavy exploiting countless elephants in the room, such as the age old plea to ‘stop the violence’. Lyrically he blasts societal issues including killer cops, murdering of innocence,  imprisoned warfare (“prison PTSD with no therapists”), medical and science experiments, and of course hatred, degradation, and separation of people based on dark shades of skin pigment. “Greatness face down in the hood on the pavement.” 

The conscious lyricist opens eyes and ears to the masses with vivid imagery and memorable speech exerts from Martin Luther King Jr.  Over classic reverberating drums and thumping bass lines, Jeru delivers another prolific Hip Hop gem.
