Premiere: Piff James (Outsidaz) Wants “Elevation Only” in New Video

“Stop Playin, fuck the bullshit, just work on elevation and keep growing!” says Piff James when asked about his new single, which Weekly Rap Gods is proud to be premiering the video for. “Elevation Only” which is produced by KRAK! (for The and features a melodic chorus (courtesy of Steeve Sam) is boomin’ yet blissful as James reflects on fallen friends, foes and the future.

While known for his no-holds barred lyrics as a member of the Newark, NJ super-group the Outsidaz (which has included Young Zee, Pacewon, Rah Digga) and as a legendary
battle-rapper (who faced off against top names including Dizaster, Syanide and The Saurus) the track and accompanying video was inspired by the practice of meditation.

Directed by Nimi Hendrix, James said of the video, which partially includes him trekking through some majestic territory “we filmed in upstate NY, just past Bear Mountain in a spot I went to before to meditate and liked the energy up there.  Nimi really brought the vision to life.”

“Elevation Only” (which is available digitally as a single now) is the newest leak of loosie’s that the emcee has been dribbling out which has included “Gun Line” a track produced by Camouflage Monk (Westside Gunn, Mach Hommy).
