As group member Noveliss tells it, the track showcases “all of the random things that describe CSF,” a statement which also applies to the album as a whole. Much like “Hit Me Now” and its jazzy, funky instrumental, the majority of Still is produced by CSF’s own Ilajide who provides a modern and fresh take on Golden Era Boom bap for the record’s production. He and his group members also bring the heat lyrically while delivering slick blends of bravado, nostalgic references, and bits of personal introspection.
You get a strong sampling of that in “Hit Me Now” as all four members demonstrate their unique flows and pen games over the instantly-hitting production. And it’s all highlighted by the directorial talents of Tvpes, who adds animated touches throughout the clip that features footage of CSF’s recent trip to Atlanta, as part of their recent U.S. tour.
