Superbad Solace Drops Visuals For “Patina”

After patiently waiting, Superbad Solace has dropped the video for “Patina”, which is my favorite track from his project Sol Controller. This video was just as smooth as the track itself, which features a sample of “Remind Me” from Patrice Rushen. A Queens native, SS is solo, rocking some fly Polo attire while cruising the water on a boat, enjoying the good life. Mono En Stereo did the beat for this track and the video was directed by A1Vision. The scenery and theme of the video was perfect for this song.

SS’s delivery on this joint is very laid back and has a very vintage feel, which is part of the concept of “Patina”, aging well over time. Having followed his catalog since the earlier Timeless Truth days, SS has matured musically, which you can tell from listening to his solo EP. From this project he’s had 4 videos total released, the other 3 being: Sol Controller, ‘Wet Cement’, and ‘Eyes Don’t Lie’. If you never got a chance to check it out, Sol Controller is available on all digital platforms. You can also go to SS’s site superbadsolace.com for physical copies and announcements for future upcoming shows.
