This year Wu-Tang Clan floored the crowds at the A3C Hip Hop Festival in Atlanta celebrating their 25th Anniversary of ‘Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)’. The entire clan was present for this milestone event. Young Dirty Bastard put on a powerful performance on behalf of his father ODB (RIP). His delivery was spot on and truly reminiscent of the audacious vibes of his father. For me, the show was a very touching experience and bittersweet. Last time I saw Wu-Tang, ODB was with them. All I can say is Young Dirty Bastard did his father justice while performing alongside his Wu Family. The crowd went crazy when he spit the classic ODB verses!

The iconic rap group hit the hip hop scene heavy in the 90s and took the industry by storm. Two decades and a half later, they are still looking great and full of energy! The Wu captivated the audience with their hits like “Protect Ya Neck,” “Da Mystery of Chessboxin’,” “Bring da Ruckus,” “C.R.E.A.M.,” and so many more.

A3C was the ultimate hip hop experience for many who haven’t seen The Clan perform in decades and for the first time. The Wu’s innovative brand and symbol is revered worldwide. Their legacy is being passed onto the next generation of Hip Hop proudly. Many fans dawned their Wu apparel in honor of the hip hop legends. Needless to say, Wu-Tang ushered in a new direction for hip hop and creativity.
I have been around since the humble beginnings promoting Method Man‘s cassette tapes for his single “Method Man”. I was there for the first performance of Gravediggaz to show support. I was honored to welcome Wu affiliates Sunz of Man and Killarmy to the folds when they came to Atlanta. I was also there for the grand opening of the Wu-Wear clothing store in downtown Atlanta. Lastly, I was there for the Wu-Tang Clan/Rage Against the Machine tour. To see the supergroup perform again after all this time was a remarkable feeling. The Gods represented the culture well. And their stamina was off the meter!
A3C did an awesome job making the festival grounds a welcoming and exhilarating environment for hip hop. The roar of the crowd was priceless!
Weekly Rap Gods would like to wish Wu-Tang a Happy 25th Anniversary for their debut classic ‘Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)’! Their love and appreciation for the fans shows why the Wu has such longevity in this ever-changing hip hop climate! Loyal fans were pleased and new fans were created that day. Wu -Tang Forever!
