Napoleon Da Legend & DJ Doom Show Us the “Path of a Warrior” (Music)

New EP by the homie Napoleon Da Legend entirely produced by DJ Doom. NDL and DJ Doom make a good combo on this project — dope SP1200 boom bap backdrops, sample chops with thumping kicks, and sharp snares. What more can you ask for? Napoleon is definitely carving his own lane vocally and lyrically. If I had to compare his style and voice to any other emcees, I would say he’s a toss-up between Guru of Gangstarr (RIP), AZ of The Firm with a dash of Raekwon of Wu-Tang. Just an opinion, but I hear influences and vocal tones in all emcees in different variations. The concepts, the storytelling, the soul, the substance, the wordplay, the flow, and the beats are all heavy. Listen for yourself.
