Class is in Session for Martin Shkreli on Wu-Tang Clan’s “Lesson Learn’d” featuring Redman (Music)

The return of the Clansmen is upon us! Straight on the heels of their recent “People Say” release featuring Wu-Tang‘s cousin and Brick City mayor Redman, they continue to apply pressure to the jugular with the release of “Lesson Learn’d”. Again, Redman is the Co-D as Inspectah Deck (The Rebel INS) lights up the board with lines like “My price hikin’ like the pills Martin Shkreli sell.” (An obvious reference to Shkerli’s purchasing the licensing of the pill Daraprim, and “hiking” it’s price from $13.50 to $750 per pill).

Redman truly delivers a chorus worthy of recitation, “Ni**az in the streets gon’ learn, them Wu-Tang n**gaz don’t play”, and will have the clubs, corners, and concert attendee’s chanting in unison as soon as AllahMathematics drops the needle.

If one were to listen to “Return to the 36 Chambers”, followed closely by “Lesson Learn’d”, along with the aforementioned track (“People Say”), the same would notice that the production baton has been entrusted to a worthy heir in AllahMathematics, as the gritty Wu production is a seamless transition from the RZA to AllahMath.

Here’s a statement by RZA regarding Mathematics and his contribution on the new album:

For years, Math has had the idea of putting together a body of music using modern and legendary equipment such as ASR10 with vocal performances by Wu-Tang Clan members and other prominent MCs. With The Saga Continues he’s created a masterpiece. We at 36 Chambers ALC are honored to work with Mathematics and Wu-Tang Clan to put out a great piece of art.

If these two tracks are any indication of what’s to come with their New LP, “The Saga Continues”, the Clan stands to make a seismic impact on its release date — October 13 (Click to Pre-Order Album).
