Rock Releases His Most Personal Song In The Form Of The “Rockness A.P.” Single

Rock aka The Rockness Monster has been lacing us with nothing but that uncut raw as a prelude to his upcoming debut project “Rockness A.P.“. As per usual, the gruff voiced emcee dishes out verbal onslaughts over grimy, head nodding soundscapes but on the title track of his album he dishes something different.

“Rockness A.P.” sees Rock going into introspective mode as he circles back in time to divulge some deep personal tales.  As a long time fan, I thought Rock was the man in Heltah Skeltah (No disrespect to Ruck aka Sean Price). He had the unique flow, charisma and off kilter approach to rap. I was hoping for a solo at the time but nothing came and the well ran dry and on the flip side Sean Price went full throttle and became a household name.

Well, Rock pretty much summarizes all the events leading to this on his new single. He talks about his botched deals with Priority , DJ Lethal and past issues with his BCC crew amongst other minute details that shows Rock in a whole new light.

“Rockiness A.P.” is the fifth and final instant grat track available for download off the iTunes’ pre-order for, Rockness A.P. The 14 track LP includes guest features from Method Man, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, M.O.P., Ras Kass, Kuniva (of D12), Ron Browz, and more, and is executed produced by Phil Anastasio (of Blood Before Pride). The album, which is due out Sept 22, is now available for pre-order on CD as well as through the digital retailer of your choice via Digital Déjà Vu Records.
